Muna, a 29-year-old mother of three, was left without support after her husband divorced her and refused to pay her dowry or child support. Unsure of what to do, she turned to Hiil Legal Aid. Our team filed a legal case on her behalf, and the court ruled in her favor — ordering her ex-husband to pay both her dowry and ongoing child support. Muna’s story shows that even in difficult times, women can stand up for their rights when they have strong legal support.

At just 14, a girl living in an IDP camp near Mogadishu was seriously harmed by a man in her community.
